In August of 2026, Dr. Nicholas Kagelmacher joined our practice after completing his degree in 2025, further strengthening our commitment to exceptional patient care.

Meet Dr. John R. Cichon, D.D.S., Founder of Stony Dental Care
Dr. John R. Cichon is a native of western New York. He graduated from the University of Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine, in 1987 with a minor in pediatric dentistry. He then went on to complete a general practice residency program at the V.A. Medical Center in Buffalo in 1988.
GET TO KNOW DR. KAGELMACHER
Dr. Nicholas Kagelmacher is a Western New York native and is excited to serve the community that raised him. He graduated summa cum laude from the University at Buffalo in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences. While at UB, Dr. Kagelmacher was a member of the Biological Sciences Honors Program and was recognized as the 2021 Outstanding Senior in Biological Sciences.
He continued his education at the Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2025. He then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the VA Medical Center in Buffalo, New York, in 2026.
Dr. Kagelmacher takes a conservative approach to dentistry and focuses on preventing oral diseases before they progress into something that requires invasive treatment. He strives to work alongside his patients to create a collaborative and empathetic environment where oral health is the top priority.
In his spare time, Dr. Kagelmacher enjoys supporting the local arts. As a lifelong musician and performer, he loves singing and playing the violin and has performed in numerous local productions. Some of his favorite roles include Shrek in Shrek: The Musical, Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast, and Pippin in Pippin.
